This coin, among other Centenionalis were available in 4th century AD as standard Bronze currency of the day. A Centenionalis is the word Romans used to describe mid to large sized bronze coins. At around 25mm it is rather large and is a fine example of Roman coinage from this era.

This particular Centenionalis bears the portrait of Magnentius who was a great usurper of the Emperors of the time. He managed to gain loyalties from all over early Europe and control over Italy and Africa. Because of this and his giant army he was also able to eventually control Rome from 350-353AD.
