The £1 coin changes forever. After 34 years in our pockets and hearts, we begin a fond farewell to the familiar round pound and welcome the new, state of the art, 12 Sided £1 coin.

For just £1, today you can ensure you have one in your collection as they are first issued. As a service to our customers, The London Mint Office has sourced a limited quantity of the very first design of this new coin in hand selected, highest quality directly from the bank on their day of launch.

Since it's release millions of these new coins have entered circulation, so guarantee yours is in the best possible condition. Supplied with certificate of authenticity to guarantee its provenance.

Described as a “giant leap into the future”, the new £1 coin utilises cutting edge British technology to combat counterfeiting and is set to become the most secure circulating coin in the world.

Formally named ‘The Nations of the Crown 2017 UK £1’, the new coin’s reverse has been designed by 15-year-old David Pearce who won a public competition in 2015. His stunning creation for the tail of the coin features an iconic symbol of each of the four constituent countries of the United Kingdom. Made up of the English rose, the Welsh leek, the Scottish thistle and the Northern Irish shamrock emerging from one stem within a royal coronet – The Nations Crown - completes what could only ever be a distinctly British design.

With only a limited quantity available, these new issues won’t be available for long. Ensure you have one in your collection now!
