Minted in honour and remembrance of all those who served in Britain’s Merchant Navy during the war years, this gold half sovereign is officially endorsed by the Merchant Navy Association.

Limited Edition - just 825 worldwide

Struck in 22 solid carat gold, the traditional purity reserved for gold sovereigns since 1817, only 825 collectors worldwide will be able to own this handsome and inspirational gold half sovereign. The reverse design features a beautiful depiction of one of the U.S. built Liberty Ships that helped change the face of the war. The obverse bears a portrait  of HM the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley and includes a small exclusive Merchant Navy privy mark in the shape of an anchor.

Battle of the Atlantic veteran, Ron Quested has exclusively shared his wartime records, documents and photographs which have been painstakingly reproduced in an informative presentation pack. These accompany each Battle of Atlantic Gold Half Sovereign, offering a real insight into what life was like aboard the Liberty Ships at this dangerous time.

Don't miss your chance to own this tribute to an absolutely pivotal yet often overlooked chapter in the history of the Second World War.
