This beautiful set of cufflinks feature the world’s first Silver Half Sovereigns. Since 1817, sovereigns have been traditionally struck in Gold and have featured the world renowned design of St George and the Dragon designed by acclaimed sculptor, Benedetto Pistrucci.
In 2019, for the first time ever, The London Mint Office released the world’s first Silver denominations of the sovereign and you can now own the Silver Half Sovereign presented in this new and unique way. Designed by the great-great-great niece of Benedetto Pistrucci, Angela Benita Pistrucci, the coin depicts a reinterpretation of her ancestor’s masterwork designed for the bicentennial anniversary of the modern sovereign celebrated in 2017.
