On November 20th 2017 Her Majesty the Queen and Prince Phillip celebrated their Platinum wedding anniversary, the longest royal marriage in British history.  The Queen has famously described Prince Phillip as being her “strength and stay” throughout their marriage, which began in 1947, just two years after the Second World War ended.

We will never, in our lifetimes, celebrate another Royal Platinum Wedding Anniversary. So to mark this record-breaking occasion the Platinum Wedding Photographic Coin Collection features 7 classic scenes of the Queen and Prince Philip throughout their 70 years of marriage and each coin is a snapshot in history.

A celebratory image of the Queen during the coronation in 1953. Alongside her is her Husband, Prince Philip who was the first to pledge allegiance to the new Queen. He is now the longest serving Prince Consort.
