As we fall silent in remembrance and commemorate all those who stood up for their country and laid down their lives in the fight for freedom, we are proud to announce the release of a brand new sterling silver fifty pence Remembrance coin – which marks a milestone by featuring our new Monarch for the first time for The London Mint Office: The Remembrance 2023 Sterling Silver Proof Fifty Pence. 

Designed by Paul Day, the coin depicts a lone soldier as a representation of all the brave soldiers who sacrificed themselves on behalf of our country. The coin’s beautiful design also incorporates a cornflower, poppy, and daisy – the Allied Forces’ emblems of remembrance.

The centre motif is beautifully framed with the inscription taken from one of the most famous and enduring poems of the First World War, “For the Fallen” by Laurence Binyon.
