On 1 May 2019, we mark the 250th anniversary of the birth of a true British icon – Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington. The Duke of Wellington is regarded as one of the greatest military and political figures of the nineteenth century, most notably for defeating Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo.

In this important anniversary year, we are proud to announce the release of a brand new and extremely limited range of Sovereigns, struck in collaboration with the Wellington Museum at Apsley House, in honour of one of the greatest of Britons.
