I am deeply saddened at the loss of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II
For her entire reign, she has been our ever-present constant, showing love and reassurance for our nation and the world.
She has always been a source of comfort and inspiration to me, from the time I swore my oath to serve her and my country to 2016 when I was honoured to have been presented with my CBE.
I will always look back fondly at our meetings, her infectious smile, and the warm familiar manner that she would greet me - I am proud to have such fond memories.
May you rest in peace Ma’am
